Wagatsuma-san's Tsubaki No. 10 is turned from a single piece of camellia wood – and yet appears like three stacked forms, connected by a wasp-like constriction. This waist is not a decorative element. It is proof of exceptional craftsmanship – almost impossible to believe that the wood was never divided.
