Wagatsuma-san's Tsubaki No. 13 is a Tama-ire with a blindfold – the figure gives up its outward gaze. A green-eyed Daruma keeps watch at the base; floral motifs in blue and black rise upwards through all segments. Warm wood, cool colour – a piece that remains quiet and yet refuses to let go.
